District Qualifiers for the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships have begun. More than 600 junior golfers will advance from the qualifying tournaments to the Championships, held at the PGA National Resort & Spa.
And at home, in communities everywhere, adult golfers are also making plans to take to the links with fundraising efforts to help support not only junior golf programs, but also scholarship programs, youth appreciation efforts, and the many activities coordinated by their own Optimist Clubs throughout the year.
In Idaho, the Middleton Area Optimist Club is planning a golf scramble and they sent flyers out to the community today.
